| KIMAX-35 bottles are designed from the requirements for milk dilution bottles given in the "Standard Methods for the Examination of Dairy Products", published by the American Public Health Association. Bottles have a square cross section and a smooth marking spot. Supplied with a black phenolic screw cap not attached. Cap has a cemented in rubber liner and is suitable for autoclaving. Bottle may be autoclaved to 121 ºC without preconditioning. Replacment cap is 14255. | ||||||||

| These bottles were developed to facilitate the introduction of solid or viscous materials directly into the bottle. Neck is placed on one side of the body, leaving space for a large opening in the top to permit the addition of lumpy or viscous material directly on the bottom or into the body of the bottle with ease. A stirring rod can then be used to spread the material over the entire bottom or to break up the lumps. Material can be weighed directly in the bottles, eliminating the need for preparing the material in a separate container so that it can be poured down the graduated neck. Thus, the danger of losing a sample or it sticking to the neck is prevented. A rubber stopper is placed in the top opening after the addition of the sample, necessary acid or water being added through the neck. If desired, the fat column may be raised or lowered by a slight manipulation of the stopper. Bottle is made so that it can be used in the regular test bottle centrifuge equipment. | |||||||||
